Security and privacy

Security is a priority for us. This tool is designed so you can self-host on your own infrastructure and keep full control over your data. We follow common best practices for web applications: access is protected by Django's authentication system, sensitive operations are performed server-side, communicatiowith website is through secure HTTPS protocol. We store backups on seconday server in secondary location, which makes it less likely that the data will be compromised beyond recovery. We will never market the data or share it with anyone.
You can deploy your private instance of our software using containers (Kubernetes, Helm chart, Docker, Docker compose) or cloud images. We already make sure to keep credentials and secrets out of version control and rotate them periodically, so you can retain complete control over your data.

What we track

The tool was developed to track US multi-family investments, and we also use it to manage single-family real-estate investments, forests and other assets where users act as General Partners. It helps you see — at a glance — how much you have invested and how much you have received from those investments across periods.

EquityMonitoring summarises your investments and cashflows so you can:

• View total invested amount and returns by period.
• Track cashflows such as dividends, distributions and fees.
• Spot underperforming assets and investigate transactions quickly.
• Share access with team members while keeping data ownership under your control.

Roadmap and contributions

We will keep developing the tool according to our needs and the community's input. If you have feature requests or find issues, we welcome contributions and suggestions — they help improve the tool for everyone. We aim to provide the project code as open-source on GitHub, where everyone will be able to review it and suggest improvements. Since quality is our priority we have more than 100 automated tests covering various edge cases to make sure the calculations are correct and every contributor is reviewed by at least one person beside autho/developer to ensure high level of credibility.

Pricing and beta status

The project is currently in beta while we iron out edge cases and improve stability. The initial subscription tier will be free to help beginner multi-family investors start their journey. We based our tier system by number of investments because people with more cashflow have easier way to justify tool's cost, especially in cases where spreadsheets become impractical due to amount of data. Because of this we did not create a new company just for the tool, but we use existing company MOREL press agency to market the tool.
